Care Instructions |
- Remove the
bandage the morning after your surgery. You may replace the bandage
as often as you like.
- Cleanse
the wound with soap and water or any antiseptic and apply Polysporin
(double antibiotic ointment) once or twice each day.
- If a dry
scab forms, a dab of alcohol twice a day is all that is necessary.
- If it drains
or develops pus, soak the area with salt water twice a day ( 1
to 2 tablespoons of salt or Epsom salts to a glass of water).
- If bleeding
occurs apply constant pressure for twenty minutes.
- If the results
of the biopsy are not received by mail in two weeks, phone the
office at 336-333-9111.
- Greensboro
Pathology Associates (Moses Cone Hospital Lab) or Annie Penn Hospital
will bill you separately for the pathology.
